This photograph of a glacier lake was taken in August in Romania’ Fǎgaraș Mountains. Incidentally, in order to get to the lake you have to drive up one of the most scenic road in the world. While I was there, I watched a couple climb to the top of the snow and ski down to the water’s edge just so they could say they skied in Romania in August.
